Dr. Andreas
Gintschel

Dr. Andreas Gintschel is Managing Director of Effctl Capital GmbH and one of the originators of the Effectual approach to sustainable investing. After his doctorate (Ph.D. in Finance & Accounting, University of Rochester NY) he gained more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector in portfolio management, sales and management at J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Prime Capital.

Dr. Christian
Wiehenkamp

Dr. Christian Wiehenkamp is Managing Director of Effctl Capital GmbH and Chief Investment Officer of Perpetual Investors. He is responsible for the enhancement and application of the ESR process. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Goethe University Frankfurt after graduating with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Econometrics from Maastricht University. Prior to joining Perpetual Investors, he held various roles at Allianz Group.

Dr. Jan
Mellert

Dr. Jan Mellert, Research & Development at Effectual, holds a PhD in quantitative methods in macroeconomics from the University of Konstanz. In his scientific work, he developed general dynamic equilibrium models as also applied in the valuation of long-term externalities. Jan holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Heidelberg and was previously a Senior Associate at Prime Capital and a postdoctoral researcher at Dortmund University of Technology.

Thierry
Leflon

Thierry Leflon is responsible for taking Effectual’s offering to international markets. With more than 30 years of experience in financial markets and asset management at UBS Investment Bank and Prime Capital, Thierry has a deep understanding of international investors requirements. He holds a Master’s degree from the Institut supérieur du commerce de Paris and a University of Georgia (USA) MBA with a Finance & Economics major.

Juliane
Wiehenkamp

Juliane Wiehenkamp is responsible for business development at Effectual. Since the very beginning, she has been developing Effectual’s business model and is continuously enhancing its scope. Juliane has close to 20 years experience in product management, marketing and sales for global corporates. She has also profound expertise in sustainability. After earning a Master’s degree in economics and business at Viadrina University, she studied Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge.

David
Landskron

David Landskron supports Effectual with his comprehensive experience in the finance and investment industry, where he amongst others worked for HSBC, to further develop and communicate the concept. He sees himself as an ambassador for effective sustainable investing based on economic principles. David holds a degree in economics from Goethe University in Frankfurt.

Christina
Angerpointner

In addition to being responsible for marketing at Perpetual Investors, Christina Angerpointner has taken on responsibility for the communication to our clients and developing the Effectual brand. Christina has built significant experience in marketing and communication, working both for corporates as well as agencies.

Reshma
Palackan

Reshma Palackan supports Effectual in the implementation of the concept. She has already assisted in the development of the prototype as part of an internship and has written her master's thesis on the consideration of externalities in portfolio management. She is gaining additional finance and investment experience as a portfolio manager at Perpetual. Reshman holds an M.S. in Finance from Bocconi University, Milan, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Delhi.

Thomas
Kieselstein

Thomas Kieselstein Co-Founder and long-time Senior Partner at Quoniam Asset Management, where he most recently served as Chief Investment Officer. In addition to his extensive management experience, Thomas Kieselstein has excellent expertise in the fields of investment strategies & processes, empirical finance and sustainable investing. Thomas Kieselstein holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Antonis
Schwarz

Antonis Schwarz, a private impact investor, philanthropist and impact investing consultant at PHINEO. Previously, he worked, i.a., for the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt and has launched a number of initiatives. He founded the democracy and transparency platform for Greek politics Vouliwatch as well as the Guerrilla Foundation. He is also a co-founder of the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP) at the University of Zurich. Antonis Schwarz holds a Master of International Management from IE Business School and a Bachelor on European Studies from King's College, London.

Wilkens

Professor Dr. Marco Wilkens, Chair of Finance and Banking at the University of Augsburg, is a leading German academic in the field of investment funds and sustainable finance. He is also co-founder of the Sustainable Finance Research Platform and the Center for Climate Resilience at the University of Augsburg. For the Research Platform he is a permanent observer of the Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee of the German government. He holds a doctoral degree from the University of Hamburg and a habilitation from the University of Göttingen.
